What is Computer Science and Engineering?
In this course, students will learn various computer programming languages and computer system technologies. Students will investigate complex problems through research and effectively utilize appropriate modern engineering tools to find solutions. They will exercise their analytical abilities in analyzing problems for solutions, formulating and testing, using advanced communications or multi-media equipment and will work in teams for product development.
What is the difference between Computer Science & Engineering and Computer Network Engineering?
Computer Science engineers engage in successful careers in industry, academia, and public service by providing technical leadership in solving a broad range of significant problems whereas Computer Network engineers are concerned with the study of different kinds of networks such as MANETs, Adhoc N/w, Wireless Sensor Networks etc.
What will I study in the course?
Students will learn various computer system technologies and will apply mathematical skills, algorithmic principles, knowledge of cloud computing, big data and computer science theory in the modeling and design of computer based systems.
What are the career prospects upon graduation?
Job prospects for computer engineers have been increasing rapidly both in India and abroad because of the growth in this industry. System study, analysis, design and programming are the domains wherein many computer science and engineering graduates choose to carve out a career for themselves. Computer engineers develop computer programs. Their work involves the design, development and maintenance of software. Job opportunities abound in a variety of environments including academia, research, private and public industries, government departments, business and commercial organizations, manufacturing sector, etc.
