“CMRIT is an institution which educates through challenge. It takes students out of their comfort zone, driving them to question the status quo, and see things critically. Education at this institution builds character by pushing students to raise the bar and exceed their own expectations. It is centered around the philosophy of learning through practice, and this extends well beyond the confines of the classroom. For these reasons, I always thought CMRIT to be an institution where one could become one what one wanted to become. But in the years that have passed, I’ve come to appreciate that this is also an institution where one realizes what one wants to become, and gains the confidence to chart one’s own course. Herein lies the difference between an institution that teaches, and one that educates.
CMRIT has had an important role in my own development as an engineer and as a scientist, and I remain indebted to the wonderful faculty at this institution for the years of encouragement, support, and their unwavering belief in their students’ abilities”

“CMRIT transformed this poor student with a not-so- great CET rank into a college rank holder. I did work hard but an equal part – if not more – was played by my teachers whose efforts, patience and guidance gave me the precious gift of actually learning how to think. Any school can teach a student a formula. Very few can truly explain to that student how he/she can apply that formula to a real-world problem – that is the essence of Engineering.”

“My four years at CMR Institute of Technology were memorable for igniting my interest in electronics and for forming some wonderful friendships that I still count on today. Beyond the prescribed curriculum, there was additional impetus from the faculty to have exposure to industry and academia. These came in the form of talks and interactive sessions with industry professionals, alumni, and encouragement to attend conferences. A strong placement cell bringing several top employers for on campus recruitment and alumni & faculty providing information, necessary references to pursue higher education in the country and abroad, opened many opportunities for me and my peers for life after graduation. I look back fondly, eight years after leaving the halls of CMRIT.”

Ph.D. Candidate, School of Computing, University of Utah
“When I reflect on my four years in the CMRIT undergraduate program, I conclude that the experience not only made me a better engineer but also prepared me in unpredictable ways for my career. Through classes with incredibly supportive classmates and professors who were nothing short of champions, I was challenged to discover talents I didn’t know I had.
The faculty allowed me to express myself freely both on a personal and intellectual level—they truly supported me with any interest I had or any situation I was facing.
The faculty and administrative members of CMRIT were always supportive, kind and, more importantly, treat students as colleagues. I have become more confident due to such a nurturing and friendly environment. Every single student’s intellectual potential can be fully explored owing to the rigorous training and constant mentorship one gets from CMRIT.
My fellow students were my best friends, best colleagues, and best critics; and they continue to be so to this day.
Having been shaped in part by the collegial and creative, yet rigorous, environment at CMRIT, I found myself able to communicate, innovate, and collaborate in ways that enabled me to build a successful engineering career at ARM Inc. Bangalore, and eventually to find a rewarding research career in NVIDIA research lab, California.
n my current role as Ph.D. Candidate, School of Computing, University of Utah, I work with the faculty, with the students, and with the broader community, I draw every day on the dispositions I developed during my time at CMRIT. It was a wonderful time in my life, and the best educational experience I’ve had. A lot of people think back to undergrad school and shudder.; In my case, I think back to four years of uninterrupted good times.

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character , that is the goal of true eduction . This is the vision of CMRIT. It’s difficult to sum up the memories and experience of 3 years in few lines. My time in college has enriched my life in many ways. It has provided me with the necessary tools to enhance my skills more, taught me valuable knowledge about this diverse world. There is something motivational and special in this environment and infrastructure which made us study and enjoy co-curriculam activities. I will always be grateful to CMRIT for providing me and my peer a platform of practical learning and preparing us for the corporate life.
CMRIT is the main reason for my success in this capricious industry. Because of my lectures or I can say they were my mentors, I could able to face the problems with confidence and learn anything. Department is very active in the outside world and gets the latest tools and technologies to the classes, arranging a range of seminars and workshops including Hackathon and guest lectures. Choosing this college was the best thing happened to me.

CMRIT is one of those unique institutions which helps students in not only building their career but also enhances distinctive competencies and skillsets that help students grow their talents at an exponential pace. The professors are highly qualified and influential, supporting each student in achieving his/her very best. Mini Projects is one of the best initiatives taken by the college. I believe it helps in developing the ‘key’ skills like problem-solving, critical and analytical thinking, practical application of knowledge, leadership, management, and many more, essential to face the real world. Different workshops are conducted to enhance corporate exposure to students. The placement department is very supportive and conducts an ample amount of pre-placement training. Four years I spent at CMRIT was extremely memorable, ones I will cherish for a lifetime

It all started on the 31st of August,2015 which was my first day at CMR Institute of Technology.I stepped into the portals of CMRIT as an introvert and a completely reserved person. But there’s a saying that “Everything happens in our life for a reason” and I had already figured it out when I was selected as the Class Representative in the 1st semester. From there on, my path completely changed and I slowly started opening up and socializing with my fellow mates. I also went on to be the Class Representative for all the upcoming semesters.
Coming to the other side, i.e., the Academics, a major role was played by all my professors who constantly guided me throughout the four years. For me to get one of the top ranks in VTU, the effort put in by my professors was huge. They guided me in each and every step that I took. My professors also played the role of a mentor and helped me get rid of any obstacles that I faced. I would like to thank Harsha Sir, Sudatta mam, Sunil Sir, Vinay Sir, Pappa Mam and all the other professors who were a part of this four year long journey.
Right from the beginning, they ensured that i focus not only on academics, but on other activities too. Infact, CMRIT has a lot to offer in terms of its extra curricular activities, apart from the excellent quality of education. In fact, CMRIT has a lot of student clubs some of which are department specific, guided by professors themselves. I kindly request all students to be a part of at least one student club. One may not be that motivated to do so, but once you join a student club/group, there is a lot of scope for improvement because, these student clubs provide a platform for the students to connect to the real world and understand the requirements of the Industry which would be of immense help in the placements.
Talking about placements, CMRIT has an excellent Placement team which helped me get into my dream company “DELOITTE”! I am extremely thankful to David Sir for helping me perform my duties as a Department Placement Coordinator. I also request students to actively participate in the placement training programmes and take them seriously because that is what will ensure your placement in your respective dream companies.
One more thing I would like to highlight is the importance that CMRIT gives to sports and related activities. CMRIT has an experienced group of faculty to guide students in any sport possible. Being a part of the CMRIT Basketball team for three years, I have experienced this myself. So I kindly request students to take part in sports fests too. Moreover, I would like to thank the entire sports department including Shobith Sir for his constant support and guidance.
Last but not the least, I would extend my heartfelt thanks to our principal, Dr.Sanjay Jain for being a constant support to all the students and helping us in every way possible.

Having recently completed my Master’s degree in VLSI Design and Embedded System from CMRIT, I can truly say the skills and experiences provided to me by the programme have allowed me to develop into a confident person and the experts present in CMRIT has a tremendous passion for their teachings. The support and encouragement from the faculty and their passion for their teachings is tremendous which has resulted in successful students every year. The scope of topics trained during the programme’s lecture hours, along with labs held throughout the academics, allowed me to have a great postgraduate experience. The programme and its lecturers encouraged to have debate and also questioning allowed individual ideas to be overheard and discussed which helped in understanding of topics. Research interests was entertained and the guidance for the development of the research was taken care by the faculties. Conference and technical related activities has given me the self- assurance to enter into the working world knowing that I possess the skills and confidence to pursue a career in publishing.Throughout my journey in CMRIT, I felt fully supported by every lecturer I came in contact with which meant no question or observation was too big or too small when it came to the discussion of lecture material and assignments. I would like to thank the lecturers PAPPA M and CHETAN H for guiding me in the journey. It has been immensely enjoyable experience from start to finish
CMRIT is a great spot in terms of learning and polishing the skills of an individual. Since the day 1 my learning started, the faculties put tremendous amount of efforts to make courses more industrial oriented which helps us in surviving in this competitive world. The faculty gives us an opportunity to think out of box and emphasis on practical knowledge along with the theoretical aspects. Most of the time is spent in laboratories which let’s us implement the theoretical concepts learnt practically. This helped me quite a lot in terms of understanding and learning the subjects well. The professors are keen at providing an awareness of current trends in technology and even let us develop innovative projects with it. CMRIT provides lots of opportunities in terms of higher studies as well as getting jobs in reputed organizations.
I also would like to mention that the faculties are really knowledgeable and supportive when it comes to academics. Our professors were making sure that all the workshops, seminars, internship, projects happen on time without any lag. There was also counselling available for each student.
I would like to thank my professors Mrs. Pappa M, Mr. Chetan H, Mr. Mahesh S Gour, Dr. Amit Jain, Mr. Vinay and all the faculty for blessing me with your knowledge.

Success was a phenomena in my mind which I wanted to strive for before I came to CMR Institute of Technology. I believe in putting my best effort and securing a gold medal from VTU wasn’t something which I had aimed for but something which I was awarded for the hardwork, patience and perseverance which I had put throughout my journey at CMRIT. I’m very thankful to the HOD and faculty of TCE department for putting their best efforts to get the best of me. I shall always remain in gratitude & joy for having studied in this Institute.

CMRIT has provided me and all my fellow classmates with the perfect foundation required for any graduate student both in terms of academics as well as extra-curricular. The teachers and staff have always been understanding of our needs. They have constantly supported our careers and propelled us into great heights. Even though you may not realize their impact to your lives then, you do realize their efforts and good will when you step out into the outside world. I could not have asked for a better institution to complete my engineering.
Learning is a process which we go through at any phase of our life, this process is where we stumble upon formal education which gives us the knowledge for our career to spread wings and fly high. I believe that learning is not only the knowledge gained from textbooks but also from people around us. CMRIT as college has made my belief stronger and not only have I gained knowledge regarding engineering but also the teachers have taught me more than what the books have. The college has shaped my personality to be a better person and amongst the other person who I owe my accomplishments to, the teachers of the department are the people I’m indebted to the most. The college has given me on field and off filed learning which I have been and I’m sure will be using in the future. The laboratory facilities and the innovative method used by the teachers in explaining various concepts are really helpful; I’ll never be able to forget this part of my wisdom and knowledge imparted by the faculty and the college.
Thank you for considering me for this opportunity and I hope you will consider me to be a part of it in the future also so that I can contribute back to my college and department.Fabulous and rewarding is how I would describe my four years of engineering experience at CMRIT. I did not know what to expect in the beginning. The platform that the college provided made me realize what I am capable of doing. Wide opportunities in the form of our cultural fest Cultura, exposure I had in the placement department, support from my faculty and the fun I had with my family of friends say that it has been a great journey for me.I can positively say that choosing electrical and electronics as my stream was the best decision. I am grateful to the administration in having the faculties who are not only experts in the subject but also caring and supportive. The opportunities and facilities provided in terms of workshops and laboratories made it even better. The experience of such an established department has always been welcoming to me.
Electrical and Electronics was not always my dream, it just happened; and the faculty of my EEE family helped me fall in love with every course and eventually the field; inspiring me to pursue my M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. The faculty are experienced, dedicated, approachable and always ready to help students. Most courses were accompanied by equipped hands on learning labs, which built team spirit also making learning fun and interesting. Introduction of mini-projects and seminars with faculty assistance helped us enhance our knowledge and interpersonal skills. Along with providing great education CMRIT also has various clubs representing a number of extra co-curricular activities and one annual cultural fest. Today, as a proud alumni I can say that CMRIT is one stop for a fun-filled-learning experience.

CMRIT has got one of the best infrastructural facilities and brilliant faculty, a B-school can have.
I am really lucky and proud to have been a part of this institution, because of the things i have learned over there. Each and every professor guided us for our future and thought to be independent. I still remember Miss Nithya and Miss Rachna sharma(H.O.D) gave me the tag of C.R which brought confidence within me. Likewise there are many professors gave us there best. The friendly attitude of the professors and their willingness to always offer a helping hand has made me feel a part of the CMRIT family. The 3 years spent here were splendid and has helped me to grow better professionally and personally. With focus on skill development, the university aims at overall student development with various personality development programs. I wish the institution the very best.
CMRIT has always helped bring out the engineer in me. The friendly faculties break the barrier of teacher and student and are approachable which definitely helps you in learning your subjects better. The hands on experience with not just your Lab portions is definitely an eye opener and motivator for becoming a better engineer and bringing out the zeal in you for your subject. To make it simple CMRIT worked for a complete engineer and not just for a complete degree certificate.
The life at CMRIT is amazing with good infrastructure and satisfactory placements.
I am absolutely satisfied with our college. The college infrastructure is really good with all the necessary facilities and equipment. All amenities are well maintained. The college has qualified and experienced faculty, The faculty members here are very helpful and benevolent. The college canteen is well-equipped. The college also has various student clubs both technical and non-technical. Scholarships are also available. The college also conducts annual fest (Cultural) and regular sports events. Overall, a good college which I can recommend to others Because It is a college with a vibrant community, active student body and ever-supportive faculty members. Good place for the upcoming engineering aspirants and the workspace environment is really lively and positive which helps in overall development for personal and professional growth.
