Programme Type
Full-time
Admission to Postgraduate programmes shall be open to candidates who have passed Bachelor Degree examinations, with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all years of the degree examinations. However, in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-I, the aggregate percentage of marks of all the years of the qualifying examination shall be not less than 45%. Candidates must have also taken up the PGCET/GATE entrance examination.
M.Tech- Masters in Technology
Admission to M.Tech programmes shall be open to candidates who have passed the relevant Bachelor of Engineering examination with not less than 50% aggregate marks. (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka). The candidate must have also taken at least one of the prescribed Entrance exams as specified below.
M.Tech | Computer Science & Engineering
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Science[6] & Engineering or equivalent degree; AMIE in appropriate branch, PGCET or GATE: CS
M.Tech | VLSI Design & Embedded Systems
Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Telecommunication or equivalent degree; AMIE in appropriate branch, PGCET or GATE: EC, TE
MBA (Masters of Business Administration)
Admission to M.B.A. programmes shall be open to candidates who have passed their Bachelor’s Degree with not less than 50% aggregate marks. (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka). The candidate must have also taken at least one of the prescribed Entrance exams as specified in the Admission Process below.
MCA- Master of Computer Application
Admission to M.C.A. programmes shall be open to candidates who have passed the relevant Bachelor’s Degree with not less than 50% aggregate marks. (45% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Karnataka). The candidate must have also taken at least one of the prescribed Entrance exams as specified in the Admission process below.
Post Graduate Programmes (Engineering) – MTech
Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) and Selection Process
The Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (exam conducted by www.kea.kar.nic.in) is conducted in the months of May / June each year. This test is a requirement for admission to colleges affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University. PGCET Counseling will be conducted based on the ranks that students (Karnataka candidates only) obtain in the written exam. Qualifying students can choose CMRIT at the time of Centralized Counseling.
Management Admission Process
Admission through this process is open to both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students. Eligible students (those who meet qualifying requirements as per the eligibility criteria) may contact the CMRIT Admission Section in order to obtain the application form. Candidates will be selected based on their academic merit.
Note: Candidates must have taken one of the following examinations in order to qualify:

Candidates must fill in the registration form. This is to be done at the CMRIT College Campus.
Visit the Admission Section, and meet the Admission Coordinator (Mrs. Revathi. R).
Admission fee details will be shared with the prospective candidate.
Once the seat has been confirmed, candidates may fill out the application form and submit it along with the documents specified below.
Required Documents
The college requires that candidates submit the following documents at the time of admission.
(Please bring original documents along with 03 photocopies of the same).
At the time of admission, candidates must submit all the originals, copies and other relevant documentation including the completed application form.
Note: Applications must be made only in the prescribed format. Applicants are requested to read the application form carefully before filling it up. The application is a key part of the admission process, and incomplete or false information will adversely affect admission.
The Management reserves the right of admission and allotment of the branch. Once a candidate has been admitted to a particular course, any request for refund of fees will not be entertained.
