Basics of Mechanical Engineering

Department Overview

Basic Mechanical Engineering is the essential starting point for aspiring engineers, focusing on foundational skills and practical application. For first-year students, the curriculum includes mandatory training in Engineering Graphics, which is crucial for developing the ability to visualize and communicate design ideas. Students gain proficiency using 2D software to create precise two-dimensional technical drawings.

Beyond the core curriculum, we actively encourage students to explore 3D modeling tools to support their interests and project work, fostering a deeper understanding of spatial design. Our department provides world-class, latest equipment to bring these designs to life, including state-of-the-art CNC machines and a variety of 3D printers. Students are encouraged to undertake mechanical field projects, with readily available support and expertise from our dedicated faculty. This blend of fundamental knowledge, modern technology, and faculty mentorship ensures students are well-prepared for advanced studies and real-world engineering challenges.
