Space tourism – Space adventure to offer job opportunities – PADMASHRI Kiran Kumar

Today’s budding engineers are the future of this country. They must build a vibrant nation through innovations in Science and technology. India is at the forefront of Space Technology. Space tourism and Space adventures are going to offer huge job opportunities, said Padmashri A S Kiran Kumar. He was addressing graduating batch 2019 at city based CMR Institute of Technology. He enlightened the budding engineers on success story of world’s premier space organization ISRO. Today ISRO ranks among the top nations in developing advanced satellites, rocket systems to carry 5-ton satellites. He highlighted visionary scientist Vikram Sarabhai who laid the foundation for use of space technology for   creating better facilities, transparent administration and to create wealth for the country. He encouraged the students to remain lifelong learners. Our Individual success should add to country’s progress. Let us work collectively to find solutions to societal problems, he said. He felicitated university rank holders, best project winners and other achievers.

Earlier Dr Sanjay Jain, Principal welcomed the gathering and highlighted achievements of the students. Dr Shivakumar, Vice Chancellor, CMR university administered the Oath to the graduating students. Trustees of CMRJT, Industrialist and academicians were present on the occasion.

1130 engineering and management students participated in the ceremonial procession. Pratap Gowda, a graduating student of Computer engineering who was in a jubilant mood mentioned that he is planning to pursue software career. My teacher’s constant guidance and encouragement has enabled me to achieve this success-he said. Ms Sukanaya who secured first rank in the university mentioned that she has aspirations to pursue higher studies. Priyanka Srivastava secured highest package job offer of 18 Lakhs shared her experiences of meticulous planning, practical skill sets necessary to get selected in top MNCs. I am glad that more than 700 students of my batch are placed. Experience of carrying out several projects in the college will help me to pursue research, she said.

Mrs Lalitha, a proud parent mentioned that her daughter has been moulded into a core professional who can take up challenges in the Industry.
